| About Father Peter Fr. Piotr “Peter” Prusakiewicz, CSMA is a member of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel based in Marki, Poland. The congregation maintains and supports orphanages and schools in Poland as well as formation houses in some countries.
Fr. Peter was ordained in May 1990 and was first assigned as parish assistant at the Holy Spirit Church in Krosno. He obtained a master's degree in Theology in 1990 and in 1996, he completed his master's degree in Psychology. In 2003, he completed a PhD program in Spirituality at the Catholic University of Cardinal Wyszynski in Warsaw. He worked on a PhD theses on "Christocentrism of the Spirituality of Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz".
Although the congregation’s main charism is on Holy Angels, Fr. Peter became well-versed with the Divine Mercy devotion by God’s providence. From 1993 to 1996, he served as spiritual director and chaplain for the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Krakow. During that time, he engaged in an intense study of the messages of the Divine Mercy devotion in order to minister and give spiritual directions to the Sisters. Through the conversations and stories shared by the Sisters, Fr. Peter obtained an in-depth knowledge of the life, mission and spirituality of St. Faustina, the congregation's spiritual co-foundress.
Fr. Peter, who was once a vice-rector of a major seminary in Krakow, is currently the chief editor of “Who is Like God”, a magazine on angels printed in Polish language (and in English beginning on 2010). He has conducted retreats on Holy Angels in many areas in Poland as well as in other countries.
As an expert on both Divine Mercy and Holy Angels, he has spoken in many countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, United Arabic Emirates, Gibraltar, Spain, Italy, Germany and the USA. He is faithfully carrying out the request of the late Pope John Paul II to “help spread the urgent message of God’s Divine Mercy!" | |
